The KTM 990 Adventure is vastly superior (off-road) to the GS, Tenere, Tiger Explorer, etc. Same problem with limited dealership network as BMW, although by my count 3 times better than BMW. I have always had a fondness for the KTM, and so I wanted to compare the weight to the XR650L and the DR-Z400S. Understanding they are 3 completely different classes of bike, I still wanted to lay out the specs side by side, especially the weights, just to know for certain how much heavier the KTM really is, and to convince myself I might be able to man-handle it through the mud.
